Project location & overview:
The Great Yarmouth Incubator is an exciting project in South Denes, working for Great Yarmouth Borough Council. The aim of the project is to create a new Business Incubation centre, to provide facilities and support for start-up business.
The development is located on the south beach parade, ideally situated to support the offshore sector in particular the Operations & Maintenance project, also being project managed by Greyfriars Project Management. The project will be delivered over 3 phases, with the initial phase 1 development including a new 1,220 sqm building with approximately 20% office space and 80% light industrial.
The aims of the project are to:
• To nurture and grow new and small businesses by supporting them through the early stages of development and change, by providing physical spaces and equipment on flexible terms
• Encourage & support the growth of the offshore energy sector in Great Yarmouth
• Rejuvenate and redevelop sites adjacent to the Outer Harbour
In addition to providing physical space, the Incubator will also provide training and mentoring of young businesses to ensure their growth and success in the medium and long term.
