A47 Corridor Improvements, Norfolk

Project location & overview:

Highways England are currently undertaking a £300m, 6 scheme upgrade to the A47 trunk road, which runs from Leicester in the west to Lowestoft in the east.

Improvements in Norfolk include:

  • Thickthorn junction improvements
  • Tuddenham dualling
  • Blofield to Burlingham dualling

Highways England have appointed Galliford Try Construction to deliver the projects which aim to reduce congestion, improve traffic safety and flow which will contribute to economic growth through increased reliability on travel times.

Greyfriars Project Management is currently supporting the delivery team by drawing on its in-depth experience of the Planning Act 2008 and its strong record of infrastructure delivery in the eastern region.

Angel Road Schools, Norwich

Greyfriars Project Management supported the Evolution Academy Trust in completing a time-sensitive construction project at Angel Road Infant School in Norwich.

Safer Streets, Great Yarmouth

This project aims to improve the environment in residential areas with a package safety and crime-prevention measures including the installation of street-lighting and CCTV and the employment of a Community Safety Officer.

Great Yarmouth Business Incubator

The Incubator is an exciting project in South Denes for Great Yarmouth Borough Council. The aim of the project is to create a new Business Incubation centre, to provide facilities and support for start-up business.

CP Groundworks

We work collaboratively with CP Groundworks across the country to manage the delivery of civil engineering and groundworks projects as subcontractor to leading construction companies. Our services include project management, contract programmes and contract administration.

Trees for Cities, Great Yarmouth

This project will plant over 500 trees to support green jobs and provide a boost for nature recovery. Expanding tree canopy cover will increase resilience against the effects of climate change, and support local greening and biodiversity strategies in response to the climate crisis.

Transport for Norwich

Transport for Norwich is a programme of work to improve accessibility by all forms of transport around the city. Greyfriars led the project management of the strategy review, and the revised strategy was approved by Cabinet in December 2021.

Market Place public realm, Great Yarmouth

Leading the client-side project management for Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s Market Place public realm works, we aim to sympathetically improve the functionality of the space whilst being sensitive to the location’s heritage.
