Greyfriars project managing major redevelopment of Norwich’s Hay Hill

Here at Greyfriars Project Management, we are pleased to be working with Norwich City Council to project manage the refurbishment of Hay Hill – an open urban space in Norwich city centre.

The Hay Hill redevelopment was commissioned by Norwich City Council with the aim of improving the busy city centre area to make it more vibrant and accessible for the public.

We are leading the next phase of project delivery to successful completion.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be project managing the revamp of Hay Hill. As a Norwich-based business, it’s especially rewarding to be involved in a project which will be so beneficial for our city” says our Director, Jon Barnard.

The redevelopment aims to provide more open space for cultural activities in the city centre, as well as better walking links between key areas, including Norwich Market, Millennium Plain, Gentleman’s Walk and Chantry Place.

“This project will transform the Hay Hill area to create an even better space for locals and visitors to Norwich. It’s great for the built environment, shoppers and businesses in our vibrant retail centre” adds Jon.

We will be providing client project management services, managing inputs from the client, contractor, consultants and other stakeholders.

Construction on Hay Hill began in April 2023, with stakeholders working closely with relevant bodies to ensure disruption is minimised and the city centre is still accessible. It is estimated that the project will be completed in early 2024.

“Keeping this project on track and on budget is crucial. We will use our extensive knowledge and skills to ensure this project is delivered to the highest standard” concludes Jon.
