Breck Farm, Taverham, Norwich
This site, with a potential for 1500 houses, was outside the existing settlement boundary, which made the prospect of getting planning consent extremely high risk. Steve developed the original strategic masterplan for discussions with the planners, which set out the principles of development including response to the landscape and levels, principles of movement and access, strategic management of surface water, and development densities and uses, which opened up a successful dialogue with the planners, resulting in an acceptance of the developability of the site in principle, and eventually led the way to a consent being granted. The site is consented and currently moving forward to delivery.
