Steve Logan, the Greyfriars Urban Design team leader, has had an accomplished and award-winning career in architecture and masterplanning with over 35 years of industry experience. Steve has worked in both the Private and Public sectors including many years at partner level in large practices, as well as managing his own practice over many years. Successful projects include large scale regeneration and new settlements, obtaining difficult planning consents outside settlement boundaries, along with experience in commercial sites, schools and higher education campus masterplanning and design.
The goal of the Urban Design team is to provide beautiful and deliverable projects, using the best principles of sustainability, placemaking and people friendly urban design, always with a clear understanding of the necessity to deliver viable projects to a successful completion. Our design principles follow a landscape and context led design approach, which maximise the natural capital of sites, providing spatial plans which make the most of existing high-quality assets, and forming the basis for successful negotiations with Local Authorities and other statutory bodies.
Steve is also a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner, with a proven track record of successful management of the design and delivery of projects through the planning system and on to procurement and construction.
In addition to urban design, masterplanning and project management, Greyfriars also offer an integrated cost management facility with Tim Boucher, our head of cost management, to deliver a one stop design and costing service, particularly at the early feasibility and viability stages.

In 2022, Greyfriars helped the Evolution Academy Trust complete a time-sensitive construction project at Angel Road Infant School in Norwich.
