Greyfriars Cost Management’s Director and Founder Tim Boucher has been elected as Chair of Norfolk Constructing Excellence Club (NCEC), the regional arm of Constructing Excellence a UK-wide organisation dedicated to driving positive change in the construction industry.
A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with nearly three decades of experience, Tim Boucher is a familiar face in East Anglia’s construction circles. Since joining the NCE Committee in 2021, he has served as Treasurer and Vice Chair, helping to shape the club’s agenda and championing key industry issues. His appointment as Chair marks a new chapter for the organisation, which aims to stimulate debate and promote best practice across the sector.
The appointment follows an exciting year for Tim Boucher, who launched new business Greyfriars Cost Management at the end of 2024—an independent consultancy delivering strategic cost advice and quantity surveying services across East Anglia.
Speaking after the announcement, Boucher said: “It’s a privilege to take on the role of Chair at a time when the construction industry is facing both exciting opportunities and complex challenges. I look forward to working with our committee and wider membership to ensure NCE continues to be a platform for meaningful dialogue and positive change.”
Plans for the year include a series of events covering topical issues, such as Artificial Intelligence, Planning Reforms and Sustainability. Tim hopes to continue the great work overseen by the previous Chair Emily Purchase and the sustained growth of the club to well over 100 businesses and organisations who have signed up for the 2025/2026 season.
