Cost Management and Quantity Surveying involves planning, estimating, budgeting, and controlling project expenditure to ensure a project stays within its financial limits. It helps maximise value, minimise waste, and deliver projects on budget, making it essential for successful project outcomes.
At Greyfriars Cost Management, we offer strategic cost management, quantity surveying, procurement, monitoring and contract advice from inception through to completion.
We take a ‘hands-on’ approach to reviewing a client’s project brief. As a result, we tailor our services and delivery methodology to their needs.
Our team, led by Tim Boucher, has experience across all sectors of the industry. For example, this includes one-off dwellings, regeneration masterplans, and complex new build and refurbishment projects in both commercial and public sectors.
Our goal is to provide clients with professional cost management and quantity surveying services. We focus on meeting the project brief while maintaining control of the budget.
Our Approach to Cost Management and Quantity Surveying
We can provide these services at any stage of the project timeline. However, we achieve the best results from inception, where we can set a robust budget based on the client’s requirements.
As the design evolves, our cost management team ensures there is always a clear focus on the budget. This helps maintain control throughout the project. This input gives clients the best chance of maintaining cost control. Therefore, this approach is based on a ‘no surprises’ philosophy.
Supporting Project Decisions
Our services can also provide one-off estimates. This allows clients to review project viability and make informed decisions on how to progress.
At Greyfriars, we use the latest software and tools to ensure our cost management advice remains accurate. This is supported by access to up-to-date cost data.
We are keen to explore new methods of project delivery and challenge traditional procurement strategies. At the same time, we encourage a collaborative approach to construction projects.
